Rebirth…
Come closer, stranger. Don’t be afraid.
Honest, the blog won’t bite you. Step forth and let it take you into its warm embrace. Relax and listen to the melody and not to the song.
Did you get enough sleep lately? I began to appreciate sleep only after I lost it. It is a calm night, it is dark and gloomy, the temperature outside is six-six-six degrees… and I am not sleeping. Come to think of it, no one in the whole apartment seems to be asleep.
AUBG always gives me the impression of a restless place that never sleeps, not even when all lights go out. Sparks remain - tiny concealed lights throughout rooms, hallways, and corners. Each of them is a person who is awake, kept away from the sweet stupor of sleep by that amazing feeling.
The feeling of being reborn.
Most of us were young lost souls just a few years ago. And then, all of a sudden - POOF - we are “future leaders.” We have more to study. We have more and harder assignments. We work throughout the summer. We do research and attribute quotes. We begin to think about the future. It is only 4 years before we are reborn into the real world, and take our deserved place in it.
AUBG is valuable as a unique transition period. AUBG is the pain that precedes the rebirth, the effort to open your mouth and take your first breath of fresh air. It has its flaws and drawbacks, its absurds and peculiarities, yet AUBG remains a unique experience, only comparable to the euphoria of waking up in the middle of a tumultous storm. It may be scary at first… but the feeling is AWESOME.
Enjoy your stay at AUBG - these are the best years of your life and you shall remember them for many more summers and winters to come
I will be visiting you again, my dear reader. I am always here for you…
Yours truly,
GK
